Architecture

Spaces for people. We understand architecture as the stage for citizenship, and the primordial social and communitarian space.

Working in architecture requires combining different elements in a singular vision. From the social context and environmental ecosystem where a building is placed; the structural solution that holds it; the materials for its cover; the energy performance and water use; its symbolic and cultural weight; all the way to the spacial sensation of its inhabitants.

We’ve worked in a very broad range of scales and contexts: from simple 200 square feet cabins to public buildings of over 650,000 square feet with complex programs and needs.

Public projects such as the Museo del Maíz inside one of the largest public parks in Latin America, or the master plan for the betterment of the Palacio Legislativo de San Lázaro, require great cultural and political sensibility. Private projects, on the other hand, need a surgical approach to budget and scheduling needs, such as in the refurbishment of Frank Sinatra’s house in Acapulco, or the Wander hospitality project developed in conjunction with Rojkind Arquitectos and Amasa Estudio.

Reflecting the nature of our office, our approach to architecture is transdisciplinary, combining the strengths and abilities of a diverse and broad community, including always our client's vision and worldview.
